Want to see Spiti in winter, when it is at its quietest? You go by the Shimla and Kinnaur road, which stays open, in a private Innova for nine nights from November to May. You stay in hotels in Narkanda, Kalpa, Kaza and Shimla and in warm homestays in Nako and Tabo. From Kaza you visit Key Monastery, Kibber and Langza and drive into the Pin Valley as far as the road allows. Breakfast and dinner are included, and it is planned for four adults in two rooms. Snow season runs November to March, so pack your warmest clothes.
