No. We book Phase 1 tickets online in your name, and you pay the ticket price, about 700–810 rupees per person. Phase 2 runs only in safe weather.
Weather, road closures and local rules can change the order of days. If a closure means an extra night, it is paid at actual cost.
Postpaid connections work. Prepaid SIMs from other states do not, so buy a local prepaid SIM at Srinagar airport with Aadhaar or a passport.
