Have a full week for Kashmir and don't want to rush? You spend one night on a houseboat on Dal Lake, two in Srinagar, two in Gulmarg and two in Pahalgam, with your own car and driver. The days are easy: a shikara at sunset, the Doodhpathri meadow, Sonamarg, two slow days in Gulmarg and the Betaab and Aru valleys. Breakfast and dinner are included at 3-star hotels every day. The longest drive is about 5 hours, so it works for children and older parents too. Pack warm layers, and leave the rest to us.
