Travelling with children or older parents? You spend the first night on a houseboat on Dal Lake, then three in Srinagar and one in Pahalgam, with your own car and driver from Srinagar airport. The days are easy: a shikara ride at sunset, day trips to Gulmarg and Sonamarg, and the Betaab and Aru valleys. No day has more than about 6 hours in the car, and you stop for rest on every drive. Breakfast and dinner are included at 3-star hotels every day. Children from 2 years and seniors are both welcome.

The Pahalgam union taxi for Betaab and Aru is about 2,200–3,000 rupees per vehicle, and the Thajiwas pony is about 700–1,500 rupees per person. Rates can change.
No. If you want it, we book the tickets online in your name; Phase 1 is about 700–810 rupees per person. Phase 2 runs only in safe weather.
Postpaid SIMs work in Kashmir. Prepaid SIMs from other states do not, so buy a local prepaid SIM at Srinagar airport with Aadhaar or a passport.
Mostly, but weather, road closures or local rules can change the order of the days. If a closure adds an extra night, it is paid at actual cost.
